trump has a tiger by the tail with this one.... you are probably spot on when you speculate that he will be using this information for his own good, and certainly he is on that list, and certainly videos exist showing him raping underage girls. there are already too many eye witnesses who experienced it first hand (of course they are women so we don't listen to hysterical women!) or have seen the evidence. he is trying to both cover up the information and use it for his own enrichment. every fascist out there out to be ashamed and embarrassed over what they have enabled. Congressional republicans voting to block the release of the information. Ghislaine Maxwell will end up "mysteriously" committing suicide, getting food poisoning, abducted by aliens or abducted by Hunter Biden... she is a loose end that he cannot control. i really think that he did the same thing with all the classified documents that disappeared after his first term... sold them to the highest bidder. Unfortunately these thing have a way of fading into the distance as new atrocities arise or other distractions to amuse and appease his base. apparently no amount of recorded evidence, in song, verse, print, video, etc. can persuade the average trump voter that they have been had. they just want to be right, so whatever comes up is dismissed as made up... good enough for them to continue to support this dictator. he will take over running DC, he will have more political opponents arrested or cowed into submission. only when his base really starts to feel the financial pain of his actions does any of this change and it may well be too late by then

I wasn't born yesterday and don't fancy myself to be naive but reading this well written presentation of a black hole in the universe of human morality, one can barely catch breath. And how to fight this evil when there are so many brainwashed individuals willing to believe that Dangerous Clown and his lieutenants? Just keep exposing that filth, I guess. Maxwell has an appeal pending based on improper/selective prosecution. Since her attorneys and their attorneys probably have multiple copies of Maxwell's backups from all the leverage videos, it would probably be risky for the administration to apply pressure anywhere. They'd be just a few keystrokes/mouse clicks from a massive scandal. Also, pressure would be hard to keep quiet. This is why we know about Watergate. There are too many eyes on the info in the DOJ to get away with a pressure campaign. The second money changes hands, bam!
They want this to go away, to bury it, fast. They might even let Maxwell out to avoid a sensitive leak. She didn't have leverage with the Biden administration. The current administration has long ties in Fl where all of this started, lots of potential fallout beyond that.
