The women I talk to are finding an outlet in cheating. The lack of shared responsibility at home will find an outlet somewhere.

That's interesting. Typically, it is folks who feel unseen who cheat. So it makes sense that they would turn to social media to get attention.

In those social media circles (Pearl Davis is one of the worst), I basically view these trad-wives as "sex workers" (and understand I don't see sex work as negative) selling submissive women role play and dominant male partner fantasies.

In the X mad-house, you should have seen these folks lose it when this perspective was shown.

The irony is Pearl's Mother is a hyper feminist and all of her siblings are hyper performative in their fields ...

With that frame work in mind, always remember with role play and fantasies the adage "watch what you wish for". These folks are realizing that the 'joys' of stepford lives come with a hideous Twilight Zone horror show.

That comparison works. Not all sex workers have sex. Many are just companions selling a fantasy, as you said. But the fantasy they are selling is mostly to overworked women wishing for a simpler life. I would love to know the stats on how many men vs. women follow them.

At this point, given the simplicity of most "men", and not all "women" (joking comment to make you smile), I think the best case would be to use this as a litmus test for "red flag" potential.

What I have observed are those that are the most emotionally fragile follow them to make themselves feel "good."

The numbers aren't so pretty and with X you could see their followers and what not.

As a side example, I got in a sh1tfest thread with pro-life men and they stated how good and quality there were. Well, I went into their likes and posted their porn preferences and other things and they howl'd not fair!

Ironically a few months later Elon removed the ability to view likes .... I wonder why? Reality meets fantasy and viola ... there you go!

On X, he protects the worst of the worst with misogyny and race. I lost my original account due to a coordinated report by pro-lifers while I was defending pro-choice women and transgender folks.

So net-net ... the followers have issues.

As for overworked women? Well who doesn't want to escape the crap of life and we all should enjoy it with someone we trust and love.

I have a view point (maybe a point for your articles) ....

The trope of women wanting bad boys.

Well, my POV is women want to do bad and crazy things with men who will make them feel safe and secure while doing "Bad" and knowing that their partners desire to "ride or die" with them due to love and desire for them as a person.

I really only ever used X to see what was trending. It was my way of keeping in touch with people when writing in my little bubble. When the brat meme blew up recently, it was not on X. I decided then and there it was no longer a useful tool. X has become a funhouse mirror of conservative claptrap. Plus, the conversations on it are so goddamn uncivilized.

I agree with you on your bad boy theory. It's also why I think people are drawn to cuckold fantasies. (But not actually doing it.) Most fantasies are a safe place to confront our fears and dreams.

I wrote and article a long time ago about the psychology of bad boys. I called it the Byron Effect. I might post this one on Wednesday since you reminded me that this is a multifaceted debate.

This should bypass the paywall: https://carlynbeccia.medium.com/the-byron-effect-why-good-women-fall-for-bad-men-29b2ebeac6c8?sk=f071bc38fdf3582d5c79d58b65bab976

I will make sure to read it through the "paid" side because your intelligence and writing has always wow'd me, and a woman has to eat you know!

Bravo again on this and so many articles over the years. I am not as active with writing and other aspects as life has kept me busy.

What I will share is I am nearing the goal line on some health things I have been working on for many years, so if I can hold out and keep it up through the rest of the year, folks that have seen me in person should see a big difference!

Take care and thanks for the wonderful replies.

Fiorina found it even harder to compete when she ran for the Republican Presidential nomination in 2016- only to lose to that guy...

As you show, Lucille Ball was adept at business as she was at getting laughs. Desilu was the original producer of "Star Trek" and "Mission: Impossible" before she sold out for a fortune to Gulf and Western, which merged it with Paramount Pictures. And Paramount has made lots of money from both of them ever since.

Yeah, I remember when she ran. She didn't have a chance. But I didn't pay much attention at the time because I thought Hillary had that one.

Lucille Ball and Desi were the power couple. But she knew how to brand herself with humor so that she never seemed to overstep her bounds. Her real life certainly didn't match her tv character.

I’m surprised no one else has taken issue with your title. Unless they’re wealthy enough to have a personal assistant, a nanny, a housekeeper, a cook, a gardener, etc. women who don’t have a FTE position most certainly do work, particularly if they have children or are caregivers to aging parents. I think people in general are unhappy when they don’t have anything to occupy their time that they can take pride in. There are plenty of folks making large salaries who hate their jobs but have signed on for a lifestyle that keeps them in chains.
